The royal wedding was amongst the inspiration for older people at a sheltered housing scheme taking part in a best-dressed duck competition to celebrate the completion of improvements to their homes.
ERoSH member Ian Williams marked the completion of work to 33 bathrooms, communal showers and toilets and the manager’s apartment, with a ‘thank you’ event for residents.
Residents at Anchor’s Louie Black House took part in a best-dressed duck competition, which included them decorating plastic ducks in a theme of their choice. Themes included the royal wedding and the famous dish duck a l’orange.
Facilities management company Ian Williams Ltd is working with Anchor to improve a number of schemes from 2010 to 2014 as part of a £6million refurbishment programme.
