ERoSH welcomes new executive team members

ERoSH has appointed some of the housing sector’s leading professionals as new members of its executive committee.

Domini Gunn-Peim has been elected as chair of ERoSH after Jo McTavish stepped down from the role after more than two years as chair.

Jane Endersby, older people’s services manager at Catalyst Communities Housing Association, has taken on the role of vice-chair.

Emma Kent, housing services manager at West Kent Housing, will become honorary secretary after Linda Milton stepped down after six years in the role.

Domini Gunn-Peim, director of public health and vulnerable communities at Consult CIH, said: “I am very pleased to be the new chair of ERoSH and I recognise that these are hard times for the sector.

“We need your support more than ever as the cuts to public spending bite hard. I have spoken to sheltered housing tenants and staff in different parts of the country over recent weeks and there is a great deal of fear about the future for services. There is also confusion and misunderstanding about what has happened and what might happen next.

“We need to join together to protect the very good services we have, continue to fight for improvements where they are needed and keep making the strong case for sheltered housing as an essential element in extending choice over housing with care and support for the people who need it. Thank you for your continuing support.”

Other appointments include:

  • Kevin Williamson from City of Westminster and Althea Howard, of Ridgeway Associates, remaining joint chairs of the Collaboration and Development, and Marketing Committees
  • Jo McTavish as chair of the local networks, with assistance from Emma King and Ken Johnson, quality officer at Riverside ECHG
  • Louise Roberts, supported housing manager at Helm Housing, as chair of the ERoSH regional network in Northern Ireland.

Our director of policy Rebecca Mollart is continuing in her interim part-time role.
