Social care and housing employers are coming together at a joint conference to look at what the Caring for our future: reforming care and support White Paper means for both sectors.
Adult social care sector skills council Skills for Care, and their housing counterpart Asset Skills, are co-hosting the first ‘Housing, Care and Support – workforce skills and learning’ conference on November 15 to look at the skills issues raised in the White Paper.

Inspirational sailor Geoff Holt who uses assistive technologies in his professional and personal life will talk about his first-hand experience of the housing/social care service offer.
Skills for Care is working closely with Asset Skills to create an action plan that will identify emerging workforce skills needs, and deliver practical support to workers in the new system.
