Silver Surfers’ Day founder becomes OBE

Erosh is delighted that its co-opted member, Emma Solomon of Digital Unite, has been appointed an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

The founder of Silver Surfers’ Day and Digital Unite managing director was recognised for services to digital inclusion.

Domini Gunn, chair of erosh, said: “We are delighted to hear that Emma’s hard work, vision and dedication has been recognised and rewarded in the recent Queen’s Birthday Honours list. The pleasure and skills that she has brought into the lives of so many older people deserves this national acclaim.

“At Erosh we have greatly appreciated Emma’s support over the years and the opportunities that she has provided to work in partnership to promote, foster and deliver digital inclusion for significant numbers of older people. We know that there are further challenges ahead as our population continues to age and that there is further work to be done. We look forward to more opportunities for joint working in the future.”
